What a Difference a Year Makes
For this month’s post, I decided to do a poem about 2021. I hope you enjoy it!
blank
The environment today
has its share of struggles
but it is our home
and we are still fighting
for this beautiful place
blank
Sometimes when people think
of the environment
and its changes
people become upset
and gloomy
and scared
blank
But what I think we should think
at the end of this year
is all of the amazing things
we have done
without fear
blank
In just one year,
meetings have been held
projects have been executed
and more things have
happened
that we should all be proud of
blank
Much progress has been made
in this unusual year
where we moved
closer
to a cleaner Earth
blank
It takes time to heal
what has been cracked
blank
So instead of the doom
and the gloom
that has come along
with climate change
blank
Let us think
of all the new advancements
2021 has brought
blank
And the new opportunities
to come
For preserving and improving
our home

I most certainly did enjoy your poem as this month’s post. I am so impressed, Julia. I think I will go back and read some of the other posts for this year. Good work, Julia.
You are so talented! And this poem lifted my spirits and made me realize that things don’t always have to be gloomy! <3
