Why Global Warming Is a Problem, and What We Can Do To Stop It
I think all the problems that the Earth is facing are bad, but for me I feel like global warming is the worst. Global warming creates most of the problems. One example is, when the air is warmer, it melts the ice glaciers. With the ice glaciers melted, it creates rising seawater levels, and eventually puts some cities and places underwater, while creating erosion in other areas. You can read more about erosion in my previous blog post! Another thing global warming does is it melts ice that polar bears live on, and could someday make polar bears extinct. Global warming causes more natural disasters, like hurricanes, flooding, and tornadoes, and brings them to a more extreme level, too. With the air warmer, it can kill off plants and animals, and make the Earth harder for humans to live on. Because of the dangerously high temperatures, we may never have a winter again, only a gray, wet and humid season.
What Can We Do To Stop This?
To know what we can do to stop global warming, we have to know what causes the problems. Polluting vehicles, such as cars and planes, are a big factor. Using harmful products that release gas and other pollutants into the air also are harmful. Big factories are a part of the problem, with smoke pouring out of them. To stop polluting, we can not drive our cars as much. And let’s say you do drive. You can plant a tree, to make up for that drive. If you drive to work, instead of driving, take the boat, a train, a bike, or carpool with friends and/or family! You can still drive, but we can try and drive as little as possible. If you know a place that pollutes a lot in order to make their products, stop buying products from them and shop at a different place that’s eco-friendly. If we all do little things then one big thing will happen for the environment and that is what we need right now. If you want to know when you should act, that time is TODAY. 🌎 🌳🚲
